If you shut the truck off in 4hi, will it leave the front diff actuated? Since it is the thermal linear crap? Or just run a jumper line to keep it going after the key is off?

Nope it will dis engauge. That's why you have to run wires to the battery. Gonna have to leave the t case in 2wd too

Alright sounds good. Run the jumpers to actuate the front diff, spin the tire one full rotation and count the rotations of the front shaft? Does it matter which tire? Pass or Driver?

you need both tires to turn the same speed while turning the driveshaft, the spider gears will make the tire you are watching turn faster if the opposite side is not turning the same speed and throw off your count

either that or you may be able to see the ratio stamped on the ring gear if you remove the 3" plastic disk/plug that has the breather hose on it on the driver side of the diff just below the frame, it's threaded and uses like a 7/8 deep socket to spin it out

Alright. I will have to look into that. I never got to look at the front diff to much before I left, so I will have to see if I can see that. I'll be researching trying to find pics of said piece as well.

I was going to say that same exact thing. If it has been re-geared you should be able to see the stamp.
