Those are "limited" tahoes.
No, they are the Z71 Tahoes

The Limited Tahoes had different wheels (Z71 also had different wheels) and a body kit and only came in black

So much mis-info in this thread.
1. Yes 2WD rearends are about 3" shorter
2. 2500LD 4x4 is the exact same as a F44 1500 4x4, just early years had 2500 on doors
3. F44 was never avaible in a 2wd, all 1/2tons 2wd's had 10 bolts, to get a 2wd length 14-bolt you had to get a 2500LD 2WD (excluding 454SS)
4. A lift spindle for a 2WD, INCREASES TRACK WIDTH, no way around this.
5. A Z71 rear is the exact same as a 4x4 rear.

So technically all Diesel 1500s are 2500LDs since most of them if not all have the F44 package with the Diesel powertrain?

2500LD and F44 are the exact same thing, if they have the F44 option, they are a 2500LD, early trucks were badged as 2500, later ones as 1500.
