just get a 6inch kit, and if you want to order 33's to save money leave the add-a- leaf out, and decrank, but PLEASE, no body lifts, they are just so wrong :nono: (sorry guys, i see no need for a body lift, when they make supension lifts that are big enough to clear any tire you will need.

there's needs for them... if a guy is running a 6" cranked and wants to clear something a little more without buying a completely new kit or SASing it and he can just put on a BL... problem solved

nothing wrong with them, it is all opinion. I'm going to be going to suspension, but it's not because I hate my BL.

I guess I should say I see the need for a smaller one, but I just don't like them, enough frame hangs down on these truck, no need for any more.

agreed on the frame hang, but the thing I hate most are the guys who half@$$ their BL with hanging bumpers, gaping holes, rusted frames, hanging nerf bars and crap like that.

In my opinion, a body lift does look like crap period. But, if you pair it with say a 6" suspension lift, then it is not bad at all. I would not put just a 3" lift and run 33's. It is a good way for a budget lifter. I have decided to just leave it stock or go with at least the 6" suspension. I might do the body lift alone if I were a young aspiring gearhead in training, but I am in my mid 30's with 3 kids and a wife who don't like her boobs bouncing all over the place. Sometimes you just have to pay to play. That wisdom, my friends, comes with age and the desire to stop throwing away money like I did when I was a kid with a lifted Toyota.

With that being said, I would probably go with a 6inch kit decranked and all to 4inch and run 33's, just because that would make it ride better for the family.

Decranking a 6" with 33's is very high on the list right now. I really appreciate all the input. I would have never thought of that option had I not found this forum. I would love to see some pics of that combo.

If I understand correctly the RCX 4" and 6" are the exact same kit for the front- both are a 4" drop. The 6" just includes an AAL for the rear on top of the 4" block.

Correct me if I am wrong guys.

I need to see if I can just buy the RCX up front and put 3/4 or 1 ton springs in the back (with a small block if I have to)- I want a suspension lift, but nothing crazy. 4" probably... 6" tops. I want it to still be DD material.

Yeah guys I cranked it up. At four inches my angles were damn near flat I wish I had pictures it rode much much better than when it was stock with just cranked bars. I cranked it up quite a bit it is just about level with the four inch blocks and 3/4 ton leaf springs. They really gave a good amount of lift to the rear my angles are not as bad as they could be but they are worse now hahaha

I thought you had to crank just to get to 6" with the RCX i din't know you could get all the way to 6.5"

just get a 6inch kit, and if you want to order 33's to save money leave the add-a- leaf out, and decrank, but PLEASE, no body lifts, they are just so wrong :nono: (sorry guys, i see no need for a body lift, when they make supension lifts that are big enough to clear any tire you will need.
