I was actually flipping through your build post. I really like it and you did a good job with documentation. Im assuming if i keep the stock style dizzi i would have to do with an oval port based on the heads.
Thanks. I went oval port for lower end torque. 411 ecu with stock style distributor will run just about any intake/head combo.

I have edelbrock pro flo intake that is suposed to be coming in that is going on the small afr headed 454 for elco. That one has 411 for it. Just need to get 24x reluctor located.

I am using a Holley efi intake. The one I am running is for a tall deck block, but they have more options for a standard deck blocks. I jumped to a 58x with e38 ecu. But same set up will run on a 411 with 24x reluctor(for individual coils) or with stock style distributor with 4x.
Stock intake bored for larger throttle body and the Holley intake before everything placed around it.

I was flipping through your post more. Did you delete the EGR and it still didn't flow as well as swapping to the holley?

Egr deleted. I did have slightly bigger displacement and it likely would have been good up to 5k or so rpm on a 454. But holley obviously better on top end without actually loosing much on low end

I have no idea what the effect is on IAT, but it's irrelevant when you stick your foot in it and the valve closes.
ahh gotcha. i was just wondering. My background comes from japanese turbo cars so this happened to be my second american car. I owned a 94 caprice wagon with the LT1 for a small bit of time.

Probably not the right place, but I'll post it here too for anyone looking.
Discontinued Vortec 454 EGR tube, I'll throw the manifold in too; I'd like to get $200 and I'll cover the shipping. The heat wrap has a couple holes but the tube itself is in great shape.
