My Burb has something similar except it still has the converters. The big muffler the Burbs have is past that flange. Dad and I changed the converters on our other '99 Burb several years ago, was not a fun job.
Yea. Thats why im going straight pipe on that. I dont want cats. And is not required to go through emmisions.

Nice Monte Carlo SS! I'm a lil jealous, you get to work in your garage...every time I get space clean in my building, more stuff gets moved into it.

The quads look so much more classic. Make the truck look tough too.
Agreed! I have a set on my workbench right now that are waiting to be restored. I usually rip them down to the plastic, then soak them in the slop sink with warm water, then, if the buckets are salvageable, I spray em with some Rust-Oleum matte black, springs and hardware, too. Just to preserve them a little.

BTW, a good source for buckets is Holley; they sell the entire bucket with the trim rings and bulb for 60 or some bucks!! Not bad for a hard-to-find part! LMC might have them, too.. now that I think of it..

Yes I'm keeping the first set I found, gonna probably use them on one of my trucks. Rawhide kinda needs them worse, but I'll have to pull the brush guard off to get the grille out. The grille is busted in a couple places (came to me that way) so I'd prefer to replace the grille and corner markers at the same time (and do upper corner light mod then too). And of course I still need to get the driving lights installed.... gotta pull the grille off for that as well.
We'll see... would rather do this stuff in the building cause it has shade, and a concrete floor to catch dropped fasteners.

Good to know; one of the buckets on my keeper set has messed up ears on one of the adjusters.
