If i get a 1995 tilt steering column with cruise control,.column comes with a key,.. will it bolt right in >? or do i need to put my ignition tumbler in it? so i gues the question is does a cheyenne have a vats? I already have the cruise module and cable, and wiring harness, but the wrong multifunction switch,. i didn't realize that 95 is the crossover year,..

Thanks for any help.

So i got the 1995 column today,. but it does not have the same wiring as i got out of a 93 (duh) ,. up to 94 the multifunction lever is simple twist it and pull and it has wiring and a small spade type plug,. which simply plugs into the wiring harness i got,. the module and cable look the same,.but it looks like they have integrated everything into a single plug with a bolt in it,..? I am wondering if i can unpin the correct wires and join them to the earlier 94 wires that activate the cruise,. but seems the wiring colors are different,. I have searched around and i can't seem to find dedicated wiring color codes for the cruise steering column activation for a 1995
Has anyone added cruise to their 95 truck? and could tell me what i need? i have a feeling its maybe get a complete underhood harness for 95? just for the sake of hooking up 4 wires>?

appreciate any help

well an update to my cruise control adventure. 95-99 obs trucks have the wiring to run cruise control The brake light switch has the correct 6 wires,. need to remove steering wheel and change out the multi lever,. 1aa auto has a good tube vid of that,..i swapped column to tilt i have to use my non cruise stalk and wiring temporarily,. because i didn't notice the hazard button was broken
I also added a leather steering wheel,.no airbag style,. 95 is the odd year some had airbags some didn't
I now have to mount the module and cable,. was pretty cool to find the cruise plug on a little tin bracket right by the brake booster with a factory cap over it ready to plug in.
I'll update when i get everything sorted.

Success!! i drilled 3 small pilot holes where the dimples used self tappers and mounted the module and cable
The new multifunction lever installed steering wheel back on,. checked fuse #6 and the ten amp already there.. Test drive and all systems working perfect.
So to any one else looking for info on how to add cruise to a 95-98/99 truck its very easy,..

watch the 1aa auto video on how to change turn signal lever great info.!

change turn signal lever to one with cruise option. mount module to firewall and cable to throttle body. check for 10 amp fuse at #6
and you are done.
