Oh hale yea! The steering is clapped tf out but this thing is a tank. All the bolts have an IH logo on the heads. It’s really cool.
Yeah we had a Murray lawn tractor/riding lawn mower, and Dad and I used to pull cars with it! And unloaded it would haul a$$ in third....my grandma had one like ours( we bought it for her, to make it easier for her to mow her property, several acres around the house, and most of it hilly). That's how she'd go to the mailbox at the cattle guard, half a mile down the two track....

Yes they are a different breed. I know a fella who has several that he’s restored.
I saw a home built mini-motor grader made out of a couple, plus several tracked dozer like things and articulated 4wd’s. Not to mention the crazy sled pulling tractors.

Mine has a belt drive PTO off the FRONT of the engine that runs down via pulley system underneath and towards the rear

When I was a dealer tech we had a lawnmower for pulling cars in. You need a hydrostatic drive instead of a belt drive, but you have to be careful because in the early '00s TuffTorq started selling K46 drives cheap. The K46 isn't strong enough, but they went on every brand of lawnmower.

Ours were belt drive, but as long as the car wasn't too stuck, they worked well. Usually if the car was too stuck, the mower's rear tires would slide on the rims. So we kept a tire pump close, or an air hose and chuck if we were near the shop. And this was in the 80s so these tractors were made better.
