I'll address all my bearings when I do my brakes and whatnots, might as well do it and prevent an issue while it's off the road. I'm up in Central NH just outside of Concord, PA is a drive but depending on the condition might be justifiable.

New bed (8ft pickup if I can find one, flatbed if I can't)
You may wanna go with a flat bed. Your truck probably was born a cab and chassis which, FWIU, is a different frame and modifying it to fit a pickup bed may not be worth it. I'd investigate it further before pulling the trigger.

My beater. Picked this up a month ago when I figured out I could sell my 2015 Ram Mega cab for more than I paid for it in 2017. I occasionally tow a "race car", so I wanted a 3/4 and the big block. It looks better in this pic than real life. LOL.

Yeah, after delving into the brilliant world of paperwork it's a 2000 model year (everything including manual goes for this. 99 chassis completed in the 2k model year to finish an order?) but it's registered and inspected as a 1500. It's most certainly a 3500 with the 8 lug and 9k/10k GVW (depends on what papers you look at). So far it's been a great time, floor looked fine from the bottom and felt fine but I lifted the vinyl and started vaccuming and now I have a hole lol, guess I have more to do. I spoke with a couple other people and they agreed the best course of action would be either rebuilding the subframe on this bed or building a flatbed. None of the documentation matches up so I'll post more later on that.

Hey, new(ish) to the forum. Picked up my first GMT400 yesterday. 1990 GMC Sierra 4x4, not sure about trim level. Has the standard 5.7tbi and 700r4. 3' bl. Wheels and tires are American Racing AR23's and 33" Cepeks.

It still looks like a fun project:waytogo:
Oh man, I'm already having a great time just addressing basic stuff. Cotter pin fuel pump relay is the first thing to go after I fix my brakes. I had a little bit of regret when I found some holes and the brakes locked up in the rear but after I drove it around the yard some more that regret is all gone. Is this how the addiction starts?
