Would it be possible to make switches for the 95+ trucks? Not the electrical parts (although that would be cool, too), but the part you see and actually touch to activate the switch. We could swap out the electrical parts with more common switches. Would be nice to have illuminated switches for whatever that matches the OEM design. Say I want a switch that says "Inverter" or "Ejector Seat" or whatever. Could you do that?

I'm thinking he meant more the cargo light switch over there, different lettering for those, with the ability to still have a backlight.

I understand now. Our print bed cannot support translucent sections within opaque parts.

The best that could be done is having the letters themselves be completely cut out to let the back light through, and then have a translucent layer of plastic glued behind the letters to diffuse the back light.

As a general update for all of the parts posted in this thread, the final test prints are complete and being tested for final fit and finish, and it is expected sales will open up on the website in about a week.

That actually doesn't sound half bad either imo. Maybe some transparent glue or something could be used to fill in the spaces.

This is exactly what I meant.

I think we could work around this. I'm sure we could figure out some appropriate filler to make it look right with and without the backlight.

subscribed! how about a cup holder for the front part of the center console? one that's more useful and attainable? LOL iv never had one in my 97 burb and it wasnt until I got my 98 Sierra that I figured out what was actually supposed to be there, but its kinda goofy. LOL i think I would like one that is much deeper and not so awkward and brittle feeling. Ive been considering swapping the center console out with a newer model but mine are not broke.. I just want a cup holder LOL, just one. one that would hold a standard extra large spill proof coffee mug and those standard sized aluminium double walled water bottles. they end up all scratched up from bouncing around inside the compartment and they fly out of the top cup holder in front of the heater duct when you turn corners....

see... heres my coffee cup, what I'd like to accommodate. it is all scratched up from bouncing around in there. hahaha.

A popular mod is to swap these HVAC knobs out for a newer set from an express van:

They're a direct swap, however, the headlight knob requires some dremel modding because the newer knob doesn't fit the "selector rod":

Perhaps you could print a new shaft / rod that has a male end to fit the new style knob?
