If you have the time, I'd fix it up and use it as a daily or sell it to re-coupe some money.

I was thinking of putting a new frame under it, but what will most likely happen is I will end up selling it so someone can use the parts that I don't take off of it. But i'm gonna probably sit on it for awhile and weigh my options.

Stuck dealing with one last bellhousing bolt where the fuel lines are...obviously can't put heat there...otherwise the removal process so far has been fairly easy. It's stripped and my 14mm bolt extractor wont fit over it...that was last night. Hoping for better luck today!

Man if I ever get to do that with my truck I think I would throw some sound barrier or insulation on the fire wall like the new trucks are doing. Also like the gmt400 diesels

Right, that would be nice.
As for the replacement motor, I am going to be painting a few things on it, along with headers. Gonna clean it up and make it look nice.

Started the teardown on the parts truck. Like ive already mentioned, the rot is horrible. The front body mounts were rotted out also which I didn't notice before and the area where it goes from boxed to c-channel was rotted out also. This thing was a rolling hazard. I don't know how the previous owner drove it like that. If that plow mount bracket wasn't there, the whole front end would have fallen out of the truck most likely. And the cab has some holes too..

Passenger side manifold bolts were seized and has fused in. Even a bolt extractor and torch won't get them....I am thinking of swapping the heads over from the other motor, since the manifolds came out perfectly on it.

Cut a hole in the floor of the cab to separate the trans from the t case. Motor mounts are unbolted...just gotta cut the passenger side manifold down pipe then I can pull the motor in the morning.
