Still needs some bullet holes like mine....
Did you ever figure out the possibility of Tow/Haul on the Black Box PCM? Or was it just a dead end?

I completely agree with you. I’m just waiting for the right excuse to pull the trigger because that purchase also comes with a new set of tires. Unfortunately these tires still have a fair amount of life left in them.

I put figuring out tow/haul mode on the black box on hold for now. I think the only way I’ll figure it out is by registering my spare black box on HPTuners and randomly grounding undefined pins until it starts reading from the other shift table. I’m too skeerd to do that on my current PCM. [emoji51] But then at that point, why not just spend that money registering the 0411 PCM, right? It would be cool to be the one that figures out tow/haul mode on a black box though.[emoji57]

Awesome! Love seeing these trucks get the job done! I've got a similar model and have put a pallet of 42 bags of 80 lbs concrete mix. No complaints!

As for the tow/haul mode, pretty sure that only could be added through the 0411. But with 4.10 rear, it already is on "tow/haul" mode.

Me too! Sounds like a good idea for a thread, “Show off your truck getting the job done!”

Very true. I think that’s another reason I backed off figuring it out. I just tuned it for how I like it when towing. It’s a work truck, not a commuting vehicle for me so I don’t mind driving it that way all the time.

Somewhere I have a pic of my old '99 K3500 with 40 lb mulch bags piled about a foot and a half or two over the top of her cab. Must have been nearly 100 bags, if I remember right. Took 30 minutes to load at the store and an hour to unload and stack all nice and pretty.

I've been keeping my eye out for a long time for used bullet holes or PY0s. I told myself that I'd pull the trigger only if they were near perfect condition, with BFG All Terrains, Load E, 245/75/R16 or bigger, and at a fair price. Oh, and have bow ties, not GMC.

These came across FB Marketplace the other day. The guy had them on an '03 Suburban that he kept in the garage and only used as a weekend warrior. They are the nicest set I've seen in a long time. The backsides aren't perfect, but the front sides are.

Completely transforms the look of the truck in my mind. It went from the grandpa's truck look to the nice middle-aged guy's truck, lol.

I spent over an hour cleaning the hub caps with an SOS pad in the sink. They were really nice, but they look as good as new now. All the lug nut covers were faded pretty bad, so after soaking them in hot water they popped out much easier. I then gave them new life with a couple coats of semi-gloss black spray paint, then popped them back in.

The tires are 265/70/R16. I was really hoping they would be 75's but they have about half the tread left so in another 4-5 years I can decide if I want to go with 265/75s or 285/75s. I think if I went 285's I'd also want 4.56 gears.
