Notched the drivers side rivets last night with a small dremel that sucked! Instead of using a chisel or a punch and a hammer I opted for a 29/64 drill bit and drilled them the rest of the way out.

Removed the 8 18mm bolts unhooked the taillight harness unbolted the ground for said harness, unbolted the filler neck and took off the ground for that as well. Backed the truck into the garage and had some neighbors come over and help me lift the bed off while my wife drove the truck out from underneath. Lowered the bed down on some office chairs we had laying around lol.

Taking off the rivets was definitely a freaking pain folks! I had read over and over that doing this drop was going to be a lot of work but damn lol. Decided to go ahead and paint the calipers since I was down there already and had everything apart, then I decided what the heck and gave the ol frame a once over as well.

What rear brake setup is that?

I got it off a guy in the 400 pages off facebook I havent been able to find his page when I do I'll share it.

Whats the drive shaft vibration like now that its lowered. Did you use a shim to coorect the pinion angle?

I'm redoing the whole front steering along with the drop so I'm not done yet, also the kit comes with shims to help correct the problem so we will see once I finish it all up.

the shims come with the kit. so it should say what degree the shims are no? I ask because i'm doing a 3" front drop with a 4" rear drop. The rear drop im using belltech lowering leaf springs. But I can not find anyone that has done a 4" drop and posted about the pinion angle correction. Such as, I used a 2 degree shim to correct the angle etc.

I used a 2* wedge, although some guys have used a 2.5* & yet some others say that they didn't have to use a shim at all.
But, that's with hangars & shackles.
Stock hangars & shackles with the drop leafs? Whole nuther ball game. Not many are using the leafs as they do comprimise some load capacity & the ride quality. Springs suspend the vehicle. Shocks control the action of, so a good set of shocks can help out with that ride quality of the springs.
Only way to really know if a shim is required or not is to get the rear suspension all in place, (Springs bolted in tight & the diff to springs just snug, using the original U-bolts.) & then do the measuring for the proper angles.
Once that's dialed in, replace the U-bolts with new as they're torque-to-yield. Don't re-use the originals.
