You'll want to pull the wheels off and see what's been done. Probably a combo of spindles and lowering/cut springs. Then you can just get oem parts to get it stock. If it were me, I'd put it at a 2/4 and call it good. But that is a super nice truck no matter what you end up doing.

If you measure from the bottom of the fender, to the center of the wheel, it'll tell you the drop. Then compare that to the stock dimensions. You can also measure to the ground if you are on a flat, level surface.

Thanks! Yes, i will NOT be returning it to stock.. I just need to figure out what i should do with the front end. I was thinking a 2" drop spring and shocks... that should bring the LCAs off the bump stops and give it a "smoother" ride.. Eventually the truck will be bagged!

Yeah, idk how the previous owner handled that. But the truck looks like they put a lot of money into it. Maybe it just a show truck.

Anybody running a 4/6 drop having issues with scrubbing the tread of the front tires on the underside of the fender wells when the suspension is compressed (such as taking a transition from downhill to uphill at decent speed)? I’m trying to figure out if I should be looking at stiffer springs, modified wheel wells, or shorter tires. I had planned to put taller tires when I put on bigger wheels so this is a rather unwelcomed issue. Any ideas or known solutions?

Thanks!

I had that problem. Maybe try a shorter tire. Rolling your fenders will be a good idea to. Invest in a quality fender roller to give you a good, smooth fold. Those fender lips will shred your tires.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve got the fenders rolled and I’m not hitting there. Used a good old fashioned hammer and dolly. I’m just hitting the underside of the wheel well when the front suspension compresses a bunch. I’ve read on here that people believe the stock springs are stiffer than aftermarket drop springs so I think I’m gonna try cutting the stockers I pulled out and see if it helps. Really want to keep this tire height at a minimum. Any other ideas?

Ooooh, okay. I know what you mean now. Yeah, I am personally not a fan of drop springs because of how soft they are. Cutting the stock springs is better imo.

1 coil removed = 2" of drop.
So fun fact... I recently cut the springs on a 94 RCSB after I pulled the 2” spindles off to go on my current project. I cut a little more than 3/4 (started with 2/3 coil but I couldn’t get them back in) of a coil and got 2.5 inches of drop. I’ve seen 1 coil = 2” and 1 coil equals 3”. Were there different coils used between RCSB and ECSB models that might explain the difference? Or maybe it’s V6 vs V8 trucks?
