That does look awesome. Looks like he just recessed it and then molded and filled the bumper to the bed. I'd just be afraid of how fragile that seems to be. But I definitely like the look.

Fragile because of the fact it's formed to fit. As mentioned earlier, a small dent in a bumper like that results in a large bill to fix in bumpers of that style. So I guess fragile was a poor adjective. Yes, technically, it can take a serious hit but it also causes a domino effect of other repairs to fix even small accident. Refitting, welding, painting, ect.

I think the indentation for the plate looks really odd being so far in. Also, I don't like the lower edge. I think I'd rather have a regular roll pan, and I don't like roll pans.

I like that one because I don't like roll pans. Before I read, I just glanced at the pic and thought it was a cm bumper. I like it...

That truck used to belong to friend of mine. Now he's sold it to some kid that's started splatter painting all the trim.

That's kind of roll pans in general though. They're not designed for trucks that are going to see day to day use and abuse.

Yeah but I think a roll pan that isn't actually molded into the body and also made out of some heavy gauge metal is something that could be useful. That way it's still a single piece to repair/replace but can also take a good hit before it needs to be fixed.
