"Listing has ended".Holy Crap, somebody bought that thing?Surely not for the asking price!
Don't think it sold , just listing ended. You never know about ebay, I posted my Jeep Comanche on ebay hoping to squeeze 3 K out of it, and it went up to 5,700.00 and I was a very happy camper.

Overpriced but a good foundation.....Im thinking thats an $8800 truck at best if the ac works, fresh motor etc since he lists several things that need to be fixed ......what do you guys think that should have sold for ? As far as the drivetrain obviously not being an LS hurts it slightly but it shouldnt be a slouch if it has a 69 350 thats been built properly with a decent cam.....four speed is desirable to many ....

I have a hard time coming around to today's way of thinking, standard rule of thumb today is everyone thinks if you put 10-15 K into a vehicle it has to be worth that when you sell it. I know how much I have sunk into mine and there is no way it comes close to being worth that. I think old school and the price of used vehicles is nuts anymore. But I would be hard pressed to have wanted to give more than 5-6 K for it.

My son is one of those that wants something cool so he customizes it to his liking, then thinks he will get some ridiculous price from it. Most recently he took a '79 camper special, 4 door dually, and shortened the frame to make it a CCSB in the square body style. He put the interior of a '91 Suburban into it, and was going to drop a Duramax in it. Figured he could sell it for 20-25K. I kept trying to tell him there is no real market for that. In the end, the title still says its a 40 year old camper special. It's only "worth" what someone else is willing to pay for it. Which wasn't very much. It went out of the yard on a trailer with most of the parts in the bed for the next guy to figure out what to do with it. He still won't tell me how much he got for it. $20K for a clean one owner work truck that's 35 years old with 200K miles is a great deal, if the guy that buys it feels like he got a great deal on it. For the rest of us, not so much!

So we are at 5000-8800.... certainly he was waaay off with expecting 16k. I agree 99 times out of 100 you certainly should never expect to get every penny out of them you put in ..... its a labor of love / hobby in the end and has a cost .....
