Hey man, I noticed that the caliper bracket was the same from the caddy caliper to the s10 caliper... I purchased 98 s10 front calipers for my conversion, so will the caliper brackets still work? And also, does anyone make a bolt on caliper bracket that bolts to the axle flange??? Thanks for the help man!

Nevermind bro, I missed a page.... So drill 2 holes in the weld on bracket and done.. Lol
It pays to pay attention.. I have a Miller 120v might welder but haven't welded in years.. Would really hate to lose rear brakes over crappy welds.. Thanks guys

So has anyone using the s10 front calipers and impala rotors have any issues with uneven pad wear? Noticing on mock up that the impala rotor is obviously smaller than s10 front rotor, so the piston has to expand farther to make contact with the rotor, so figuring out the spacing on caliper position with the brackets with let's say 50% wear arises a concern with pad wear. I know some of you guys have been using this setup for a while so when you guys are replacing rear pads, how does the wear pattern look? Thanks guys

Nobody??? Well I'm still in mockup phase due to life and lack of funds. But I ordered the Speedway brake lines stated in another post only to realize that they won't work with the s10 calipers.. The 7/16 banjo bolt is too big for the caliper. And getting the right bolt will be too small going through the banjo fitting, thus creating leaks. Another post mentioned something about -3 an fitting adapters or something but no one went into detail, needing some help on this guy's, what the hell am I missing?????

Just realized that in 6 months nobody had any input on this topic, more specifically my questions on this swap. Does anybody have an answer, or am I alone on this.... Doesn't make much difference to me, I'll figure it out, I just thought this was one of the "better" forums than the others with more knowledgeable guys here. Maybe I was mistaken. Guessing it's easier to answer some idiotic questions about Led bulbs, or tire vibrations on the highway... Whatever.

Lotta the guys that posted in this thread with the set-up your looking for the specs for, aren't around much if at all.

Well like I said previously, I would figure the rear disc conversion out one way or another. So for those of you interested in doing this conversion WITHOUT an e-brake then here is what I used.
98 chevy s10 front calipers from Orilleys
Ceramic brake pads for s10 from ebay
Weld-on Metric caliper brackets from Speedway motors
Metric 10x1.5 steel braided brake lines from Speedway motors part #617-8561 and made some 3/8 spacers to go between the pads and the caliper piston. That reduces the air gap between the rotor and pad for even wear. If anyone has any questions I'll be able to answer them hopefully.

In a month or so I should have my entire brake system lined out. Starting with the front....
Front 1ton calipers, crossed drilled/slotted rotors, ceramic pads, and steel braided brake lines.
03 Tahoe master cylinder with brake line adapter.
ABS deleted and removed, adjustable prop valve.
Steel braided brake line to replace the soft line from the frame to rear axle.
S10 front calipers, steel braided brake lines, ceramic pads, and cross drilled/slotted Impala SS rotors.
Will be using a Hurst line lock for the parking brake.
And that about sums up my brake system.

Line locks are not made for continuous duty... if you read the directions you would know that. Even the lever style brake locks aren't super reliable, but they will work. Good luck.
