Hi guys, Frank here with Build Your Own and today we're going to change the rear differential fluid in my 2WD 1994 Chevy Cheyenne C1500 with the 10-bolt rear end and install a shiny new chrome differential cover.

Hi Frank, my newly acquired 93 K1500 is currently in the shop for what I thought was uncommanded braking/brake lock up/ABS issue, but what they believe is actually the rear differential locking up (turns out no ABS). I knew there was a minor diff leak but obviously it's demanding attention sooner than I expected. The shop is going to take it apart and see what's going on, I'm hoping that it simply needs fluid added and the leak fixed as opposed to the gear being damaged. FWIW, it's a one owner with 88k miles and extensive service records, it was well cared for.
