Is Gmtuners.com the Jesse Bibb guy?In hind sight it would probably have been easier to just have left the egr on.A few years ago when I rebuilt my engine the intake was absolutely caked with carbon. I am 100% convinced it is from the egr. I am well aware that there is no performance to be gained by removing it,I just wanted
The engine to stay clean.I still have the old egr and the pipe that goes from the intake to the exhaust manifold,so I could still put it back on.

considering the injection system it cannot be all from carbon, its inevitable to some extent, low grade fuels, predetonation as well as a handful of other things can cause carbon build up. egr is probably the least likely to cause it
