Sooo, took the truck to my friends to see why my 4x4 wasn't working, turns out a bunch of the harness was burned off against the exhaust manifold, so we fixed the wiring, put the heat shield back in place, replaced the actuator and 4x4 works great now, except the light doesn't come on?

Also, my friend gave me some caps, lugnuts and the proper screw on lugnut caps.

and I took the rail caps off the ford, cut them down and put them on

Next to the actuator is a small button that the shift fork presses for your light. So there is 2 plugs on your diff that need to be conected. I have seen the button either stuck or broke. Then again it could be just a bulb as well.

replaced the bulb, how do i change button?

Damn...and here I was complaining on working in the garage at 20 degrees.

I have couple of beefy compressors, but almost always inflate my tires with a bike pump...go figure.

-35C outside, yesterday was -42C, went outside today to fire up little blue, Starter wont engage, just whines.
