What plug is this? 1988 C1500 Sierra 2wd

The area I'm referring to is on the DRIVER's side, that goes through the firewall and connects to the fuse bulkhead. Can this not be disconnected? It would explain why I could not get the wires loose.

Because there's a small bolt in the middle holding the two halves together, and in between the two there is a black weathertight sealant that has been discussed in several replies in this thread. It's like tar and takes a bit of wiggling once you get the bolt loose.
