This is what I have on my 97 5.7L Vortec. Polished aluminum, is what I wanted because of all the other polish work I have done under the hood.the heads are OE. They are a little taller than the OE covers. I had to cut the AC bracket brace, to make enough room to clear the new valve cover. I did spend some time tweaking on them before I installed them. Also had to hole saw a place for the PCV valve, and install a baffle inside but there was a boss for this already. I fooled with them for about a week before I installed them. I wanted them just rite before the install.

Here's what I have on my TBI but, Proform says they fit 87 - 2002 and are 1/4" taller than stock. I have full roller rockers underneath them too. The "T" nuts and oil cap are extra.

Price has gone up about $20 since I bought them. Had to get a little creative to get the PCV and breather hooked up.
