Has anyone ever rewired the instrument cluster to use the DRL indicator for something else?

I don’t use my DRLs any more, but I like the idea of having two high beam indicators. One for my headlights, then the DRL light acting as my auxiliary lights indicator.

I appreciate any input thanks!

easy enough to do, but keep in mind the brights indicator is hot-switched (comes on when POWER is applied), whereas the DRL indicator is GROUND-switched. So depending on how you activate your aux lights, you may need a signal inversion. The indicator wire is light green and runs from the cluster to the little gray DRL module under the dash to the left of the steering wheel, so it's relatively easy to redirect.

Another option is to use a socket like this and wire it how you need it.
