Upgrading Driving Lights

Well maybe this will help- I looked them over and I guess they are made by a company called Blazer, the model is just called Baja Desert Fox.

You know, this may not be something anyone is thinking about.....

IF you upgrade to 100w bulbs, is there any chance of the additional heat distorting the housing? 100watts can put out a pretty decent amount of heat.

I doubt it- I'm not going to use them very often. And if it is windy, or if you are driving, there's a lot of heat transfer going on.

And at the absolute worst, the housing distorts and I am out what.... $20?

if that's true then we are in trouble.....

Op I'd run some 10 awg just for a little extra safety factor, it wont cost that much more.

I can line the housing too if I'm that worried about it.

Are these lights any good? I have had a range of cheap lights from walmart and harbor freight and haven't been really impressed with any of them. Next set of lights will be name brand stuff, probably HID or LED.
