Today while in the process of installing a brake controller on my 1990 K1500, I dislodged a sort of switch(?) from underneath the dash. It had a two wire connector plugged into it, consisting of a green and black wire. The connector appears to have been broken at some point in the past, and someone had taped the wires back into place in the switch. Attached are a few photos of the item of which I speak. I am curious as to what it is and does so I can fix it and replace it to its rightful position. Thank you kindly for any help you can give.

That is a clutch pedal switch or a cruise cancel switch.

Excellent, thank you very much. Since it's an automatic, I suppose that leaves me with but one option. Now, perhaps, I can get to the root of why my cruise control hasn't been working since I bought the truck. Once again, much appreciated. Have a most lovely of days.
