Turn Signals Not Working

The turn signals in my 1997 Chevy K3500 (6.5 diesel) aren't working. I noticed that the left hand signal indicator stayed lit on the dash, and that one of the parking light bulbs was out, so I replaced all of them. Now when I start the truck, both turn signal indicator lights stay on the dash but they don't actually work.

Does anyone know where I should start?

Standard. I should update the post and mentioned that I just messed around with it some more and it appears that none of the signal stalk functions are working (wipers, etc)

I'd check your grounds first. 2nd, if you have tilt steering the wires may have broken/shorted there. Then, maybe your multi-function switch is bad.
