are superchips tunners any good found one for 50bucks i got a 96 350 vortec with exhaust and kn intake would this tunner pick up some power or is there a better one ?

you're better off having your ECM custom tuned.

Or a Wheatley, it doesn't matter who does the tune, honestly, just have it done by a reputable shop or auto technician.

Superchips are pretty generic and just blanket your PCM with totally safe, totally generic parameters which may only produce a mild seat of the pants improvement. Plus if and when you have a tuning disaster would you rather wait on hold to a 1-800 number or call a friendly face at the performance tuning shop where you know it's taken care of? Custom tunes will be safer and more effective because the tuner can dial your truck in right on the money. You get what you pay for...

another helpful route might be checking the online yellow pages in your area for dyno and performance shops in your area. make some calls and find a Chevy specialist and then research the shop's reputation online once you find one.
