Tune for my 1996 C3500 7.4L

does anyone know of a good respectable shop that can do a tune on my truck near the Asheville NC area. i don't mind driving a couple hours or so. i use it for towing, just need a little more power . it has flow master exhaust and a k&N air filter. otherwise stock.

If exhaust is the only major mod you've done then I see no reason you couldn't go with a mail order tune from Black Bear Performance. You'll feel an improvement for sure and the truck won't have any down time as they send you a tuned PCM before you send yours back to them (or keep it and pay the core charge, your choice). If you were doing a cam swap or other significant mods then I'd understand wanting to get it tuned in person, but Black Bear can really wake up these trucks in stock form. Took our Colorado up there years ago, and he did a ride along tune, while I drove. Really woke that truck up. Went there with 3 other trucks, and got a group discount of $100 each.

They don't tune GMT400 trucks as far as the Black Box ECM goes. I 0411 swapped my 96 K2500 and they're able to tune it that way.
