Transfer case trouble

Hey guys I have 04 chevy 6.0 awd question I lost reverse in my truck forward gears are fine I was underneath and was pulling tranny and noticed that when I turned the drive shaft the transfer case is making a loud grinding noise can transfer case no reverse ?

The t-case is bolted to the tranny, but operates independently from the tranny. So if you have forward, but no reverse, the problem is NOT in the t-case.
That being said, if you're hearing noises from the t-case, you're gonna need one of those with the tranny rebuild.
