This is a multi step question here?
Fist issue WAS:
I've been getting in a bind and did not want to shift unless the truck was rolling and at higher rpms.
I was driving today. Left a red light. Clutch released fine, 1-2 shift fine, hit 3rd and had a loud pop followed by horrible grinding, clanking and popping under load. Coasted it off the road and towed it to my parents.
Now, I can shif fine at any rpm while setting still. BUT the truck will not move at all under it's own power.

Release clutch, grinding, clanking and poping.

Release clutch, grinding, clanking and poping.
4lo
release clutch, grinding, clanking and piping.
Transfer case in neutral
Release clutch, no noises, shifts smoothe through all forewar gears and reverse.
Climb under the truck and te sound appears to be coming from the transfer case.
Does this sound like a transfer case issue? At first I thought clutch until I shifted all of th t case gears and it does it in every gear but neutral...
Need help quick.
