how bad would the 37s kill a 373 or 410s. I have those two extra rear ends I can use if I know i wont kill them lol

Will the 37s kill the 3.73s? I have a 4.10 I can swap if i know it wont kill it lol

Bigger tires will kill rear ends regardless of gear ratio. Of those two options 4.10's will be better but it will still lose a lot of performance and acceleration with 37's

Thanks..I think I'll go with 4.88s, they seem like they should last a while without blowing apart

again, you need to understand, it ISN'T THE GEARS thats the problem. 10b rearends are not designed to run anything near that size TIRE. even with the best axle shafts running a 35" tire is really straining it. if you want to run 37" tires or bigger, then you really need to upgrade to the 14b rearend.

and even then.... that only the rear.... the front diff i can assure you won't handle that much weight for very long especially as a DD

As long as you drive it like you care about it and not like an idiot you will be fine with the 10 bolt and IFS...

i don't disagree that driving it like you care about it will make it last longer. but pushing a 40" tire..... i'd still upgrade.

Ya 40's I would agree, thats just over the line IMO. But plenty of people have wheeled 10 bolts with 37s and 38s with no probs.
