whats the biggest size tires i can fit on my Tahoe with modifying anything its 2wd so i think its lower than the 4wd and right now im running 235-75-15 and those wheels look tiny on my truck. I need new tires anyways and i want something that fills that space more?

I Have put 31-10.50's on several stock 2wd's, I don't know about bigger than that though.

I would put either a 245 maybe a 265 might fit. I have a 2wd utility box Chevy and it has 245s and I know 265s will fit no problem. But since you have 15s it might be easier to find a 31 which is like a half inch maybe of difference than a 265

do you have any pics

The ones on my 94 are 31X10.50/15s. 2wd reg/short no lift. No rubs, looks nice.

265 is the width in mm, not the height. A 235-75 and 255-70 are essentially the same height. The difference is that the 265 is 20mm wider.

Tire size 265-70-60 breaks down like this:

Width - 265 = 265mm. This is section width, NOT tread width.
Height - (Aspect ratio) 70 = 70% of 265 in mm.
Rim - 15 = 15" rim.

Honestly these trucks mpgs aren't affected much by tire size as other vehicles. The 700R has a super low 1st gear so a 5.7 truck will get them going without having to lean on the throttle as much. Also the tires on mine are 10 ply and heavier than most others. Another thing is my truck is a heavy hauler, rarely driven without a load. I can give you my MPGs but they aren't going to be accurate. I average less than 10mpgs. I couldn't tell a difference in power/economy over the old 255-70 MasterCrafts that were on it prior to the Nittos.
