liscense plate relocation?
can anyone help me with this? i want to put it in my tailgate

here is the one I did on my old truck. Its really not hard at all just measure twice, cut once

Yep measure twice for sure! lol.. I made mine, but allot of companies sell em fairly cheap.. around $25 i believe.. Lay it where you want it, trace it. cut the marks out. set it in how you want it. You can either tack it there and cut off the access, or some prefer to mark it and cut the access off. I tacked mine in and cut it off close to the tailgate skin.. stitch weld it, let it cool after a few tacks.. and so on till it was fully welded in, then take a disk sander and smooth it down flush. Just take your time so you dont warp the gate..

Thanks guys I'm gonna start looking for the kit so I can order and try to Start installing this weekend.
Did you guys just run the lights along or drill a whole inthe bottom?

Just like nightmare said is the best way just leave a small lip sticking up after you tack it then weld it up and grind it down. Just be careful not to grind to much of your welds off, dont want it cracking out later down the road.
