steering column sphere

In an attempt to tighten the 4 torx bolts at the base of the steering column, I had to take the 2 pieces of the steering column apart. I'm referring to the 2 piece plastic sphere-cross shaped joint that allows the column to pivot. Problem is now I cannot figure how to get it back together. Does anyone have any experience with this?

You do not have to tear it "ALL" the way down to get at the bolts that loosen up.. Done a many many many times for my friends. Never had any come back loose yet...
