I cleaned the hell out of the contacts so I know it is not the battery. I have hit the starter with a hammer and even tried to manually cross the wire to get it to engage, there is not clicks or spinning of the bendix at all. it is like there is no starter there. so thank you all for the replys and advice. Looks like I will be at the autozone or napa in the morn to get a new one.

If you have oem cables, pull the insulation back and look down the cable. They are notorious for corroding down inside.

The other possibility if it's not even clicking is the starter relay in the underwood fuse box. The AC relay is the same relay and you can swap me for troubleshooting purposes.

My money is on the solenoid contacts though.

Just looked at his prices and just about had a heart attack

2/0 cable isn't cheap. Same with the terminations and labor.

He sells the entire cable system, from the alternator to the batteries to the starter.

Buy a 10 dollar cable and you get what you pay for.

Still, those "upgraded" cables aren't for everyone.....

What about the small wire on the starter? Would the kit include that?

I'm not the one to ask, I'm not selling it.

But doubtful since the s wire is part of the engine bay harness...
