I've got a '96 RCSB with a 4.3 5 speed that I've had 2 days and I'm starting to have issues shifting into gear from a stop. It seems as if I pump the clutch a couple times it's ok with no problems shifting from a stop. I checked the master cylinder and it was low and I put some fluid in it. I also saw bubbles in there. Is this an issue with the slave cylinder? I haven't gotten a chance to look under the truck cause of the rainy crappy weather but, is the slave internal or external? Thank you!

Have you tried bleeding the system? I'm not familiar with GMT400 manual transmissions but I had a 93 Ford Escort that had a similar issue, I bled the clutch and it fixed it. Or you can also check for leaks, if you have a leak such as a pin hole anywhere in the system you will suck air through the pin hole when the pressure is released like a vacuum. Just some things to try.
