It's not the same spring pack in a 1500"HD" (w/F44) vs. a 2500"LD" - they're both 4+1 but the overload leaf on the 2500 is thicker and longer. There are of course other differences between the two trucks, mostly small brackets added to brace up spring mount brackets and things like that.
If you compare the GVWR on the two trucks I believe you'll find the 1500"HD" is, IIRC, around 6100 or 6600 lbs? A 2500"LD" is 7200 lbs.
