Question about the 3rd door on GMTs

Was the 3rd door standard or an option and what years was it available?

It was an option, starting in 97, I believe....passenger side only. Not sure when both sides added

Both sides weren't added until 2001. Our trucks never got both sides.

^ im with you!!!!!!!!! my old truck was a 2dr and my new truck has the 3rd door and i absolutely love it!!! its what sold me on trading my civic for this truck! that and the 5.7 with 3rd door and i was sold! i traded vehicles as fast as they could.LOL
i will never own a 2dr extended cab ever! well i might if the price is right BUT i will be doing a cab swap to one with 3rd door if i do.LOL
