Post Mount A-pillar Spotlight

Hello everyone!

I would like to add a Post Mount A-pillar Spotlight to my 1996 Suburban.

I was wondering if anyone else on the forum has done that, and what different ways people have done it? ...and what they thought of the results.
I have seen them mounted directly to the door of a few trucks searching online. Is this how they were mounted on Police Tahoes? I was hoping to mount one on my truck the way they where mounted on the 91-96 Caprice police cars; through the a-pillar, with a cut out relief in the door.

Anyone on the forum have Spotlights and the mounting hardware for our trucks they don't want anymore?
