wetsand with like 1500 or 1000 grit?

yeah... 1500, maybe follow that with some 2000. then break out the compounds. brown, then white.

i'd hate to polish those pieces myself for one reason.... how the heck are ya gonna hold 'em still while you have the buff against it. it'd be easy to have a small part to fly out of your hand and get bent.... a vice is outta the question unless you're very careful.

If you sand them, use a very fine grit belt sander to finish-sand them in 1 direction, that'll give you the single directional brushed look.
