Paint code help.

... I have no idea where MsChevy got two ##U numbers because that doesn't make sense. ...

Defender posted the code 96U and df2x4 the 41U code, I just translated the RPO codes...


But the paint codes still says lower = black and upper = silver...
It might help if Defender posted a pic of the whole RPO sticker.

its worth 5 all day long,I put in my vin 1GCHC34N9JE155989 and it says this vin is not in our system. I will check into that tonight. as for more info my truck does have some rock chips on the hood I noticed last night and the paint seems to be silver, so im starting to think MsChevy may be right. Ive never seen a stock silver on top and black lower dually. maybe I have like some ultra rare color combo lol. that would be nice.

The code ZY3 means "COLOR COMBINATION TWO TONE, SPECIAL" so maybe it is.

Why don't you just give your VIN to a dealership and ask them for the RPO code list. I did that where I am. They break down the color names and stuff....


And hold on a gosh darn second. The only paint codes I see on your truck is a main color (96U) and an accent, that means your truck came ONE COLOR (SILVER) with a pinstripe (REDISH).....

I have no idea where ANYONE got the rest of the paint codes in this thread, they should ALL be disregarded because they are not in the glove box! Even the ones you posted on the first page should be disregarded. The only colors that matter are the ones in the glovebox on the RPO list. If you did not have a secondary color (##L) then the ##U will be the color for the entire vehicle.

If it had a secondary color and it was black the RPO code would be 41L and it's not there... I don't know why the L9150 paint code is printed on your RPO sticker.
96U - PRIMARY COLOR EXTERIOR, ULTRA SILVER MET (02) has both WA8867 and WA8807 as paint codes so that should be right.

My guess is your truck was Ultra Silver Metallic with a dark claret (brown/purple/red-ish color, like red wine) stripe and medium dark gray cloth interior, like DieselDetroit said.
But I don't know why the ZY3 code is there (two tone, special) unless the stripe is counted as the second color... mine is solid blue and my RPO code says ZY1 (Color Combination, Solid).

I think you should go to a dealership and have them look it up... cos some things makes no sense.
