My setup is a 95 k1500 5.7tbi. I have Dart iron eagle heads, flat top pistons, 202/208 lt1 roller cam, 10:1 cr. Long tube headers with true duals and Borla mufflers. Since modifing the engine the 4l60e now shifts a little early, especially into 4th. It locks the torque converter early also which lugs the engine. Do you think buying a stage 2 Jet chip will change the shift points enough? Other options would be to order custom chip or start learning to burn eprom.

Personally I would avoid the JET chip. I think you'd be much better off with a custom tune. That may be hard to do considering it's a TBI truck, but I know we have some members here who do their own tuning with the older computers who can surely point you in the right direction if you want to learn.

My suggestion is join Gearhead-EFI and start learning. Dave can probably get you up and running better but the best option is real time tuning it yourself.

Agreed, if you want to take the time and explore tuning, Dave can help you there too. You'll need to decide if you want to modify your PCM to except flash chips or go to emulating. Motes has all kinds of options. TunerPro RT is what a lot of folks use along with an ALDL cable to facilitate data logging, and down the road, flashing your own chips.

I have an ancient Moates AutoProm it datalogs, burns chips and emulates all at the same time using TunerProRT. Have had it since about 2005.

I am on Gearhead as well.
