Nv3500 swap

I'm looking at doing a nv3500 swap on my 98 k1500 with a 5.7 It currently has a 4l60e which bit the dust. I can get my hands on a nv3500 and transfer case from a friend. Came out of a 2001 k1500 with a 4.3.
My question is, would that one work in my truck or is there something different with it coming out of a nbs?

I bet you can make it work, May have a little modifying involved but there’s going be a little modifying involved going from auto to standard regardless. Bellhousing may be a little different
