nv3500 shaft bearing

Trying to replace the shaft bearing but ran into problem. Can't get the "c" shaped keeper off shaft without destroying it and part store said they don't sale them. Any input?

Anyone? I'm hoping to tackle this project again this weekend.

Which bearing is the shaft bearing? Is that the input bearing or output bearing?

Lookin into tranny belhousing, the shaft that is visible. Output shaft I believe.

Dealer can get those. You're talking about the snap ring behind the bearing right?

Mihela, that is correct. I'll check with the dealership. There probably gonna want an arm and a leg for it tho.

They aren't very high at all... what city are you in? I would hit a local transmission shop they would prolly have one laying around for 2 or 3 bucks.

I called local dealer and they found what i need. going in to the dealer here n a few mins to make sure they order the right one. Only gonna cost $9.

Went to dealership, told em what i needed, they pulled it up on computer, i pointed at what i need, they ordered. picking up this moring. only cost $6. thx for all the help guys.
