If they went step further and upgraded the sun shell and upgraded to the vette servo, assuming the rest of the product actually holds up, they would actually have a quality product on their hands. But, the warranty is good for what it is. I wonder if adding a vette servo would void their warranty?

That's the first thing I thought of as well

Having mine rebuilt now. $1600 for the rebuild, and replacing the rear main. Thats labor, parts, everything. Comes with a 12 month 12k warranty. Guy doing it is a life long friend. ASE master mech that worked GM dealers all his life. He and another guy left and started a shop.

I considered going the route you did, but buy the time I bought the tranny, paid for the install, fluid, ect I would have been around the same price. This way if anything happens, labor is included in the warranty.
$1600?? That's lower than either rebuild I paid for. Went to a local shop and shelled out $2700 and $2500.
The Trans in the middle was way over anything y'all have paid, and I went through Advance, where I was an employee at the time

My 2007 Colorado needs a 4L60E (no reverse). I might check out the O'Reilly ones. Have heard good things about ETE so I'm glad ot know they are the source. Used tranny (junkyard tranny thats been tested) costs $5-800 around here.

Thats including the rear main. I researched all options and this was the one that made the most sense.
