need help plz!!!

my friends 97 will start run but then while driving will shut off
then if u wait awhile it will start back up
opinions pleas??
i kno my 88 did this and it was that lil module on the dist, could that be the same problem on his
i wasnt sure with it being a vortec

That does sound like a module, but could also be a coil, fuel pump, or relay.

The best thing to do is to test all the above. Dont just go throwing parts at it.

Clean and tighten the battery connections. My 98 did that when the corrosion built up under the battery connections.

I know this is an older post, but check the fuel pressure.
