I have no idea what the 97 buckets look like. But it was barely larger than the factory 2005 fuel pump. Dropped right in. I kept the outlet hose a tad long to help keep the pump pushed to the bottom of the bucket.

It come with a new pigtail connector for the pump so I just connected it to the existing wiring and covered everything up in gas resistant heat shrink.

So was it plug in play or did you have to cut and sauder and then use the shrink tubing?

Woops..
I should have been more clear.
I cut the factory wires, soldered the new wires to the factory wires and put heat shrink on them.
