lowered 88 c1500 possible bed change to newer model

hey guys my name is chris, i'm new to this forum, but it seems to be the best out there for this kind of truck, i have an 88 c1500 short bed stepside that has a 4/3 drop on it, i was wondering, has anybody ever seen a truck of this model with a fleetside bed off of a 99-06 body style chevy? i've been messing around with this idea for a while now but i've never seen one. how do you guys think this would look?

IMO, would look like complete garbage, none of the body lines match up.
