has anyone ran LED headlights i hear our trucks make them throw codes is this true? if not what bulb/brand did u run?

The headlights on a GMT400 truck have no bearing whatsoever on setting error codes. Zero. None of the lights do.

Regardless I wouldn't recommend LED headlights unless you have the W/T grille or sealed quad beams. We've had a lot of threads in here recently about how the ones for the composite housings really aren't that great.

EDIT - Richard is right about none of the lights being able to set a code in the computer. However, converting your signal lights to LED can cause your turn signals to "hyper-flash" like a bulb is burned out. You can fix this by installing a different flasher relay. Once again headlights have nothing to do with this, though.
