I got your new front engine cover boxed up today, along with the factory bolts. I’ll get it heading your way tomorrow.
Great! Can't wait to install it (after sand blasting and powder coating, of course). ;)

New radiator arrived today. Of course, it sustained damages while in FedEx's custody. Time to file a claim. :flame:

Not much progress today (waiting on parts and powder coat, as always). I did, however, install a single ear cinch band on the low pressure power steering hose. I haven't used these before but they are great---easy to install and very secure.

The valve cover grommets were included with the valve covers on the new crate engine. I reused the crankcase (12553090) and PCV (12555694) tubes.

Ok thanks. I was able to scrounge up a couple of the GM grommets(10088126) virtually unobtainable at this point. For the PVC tube GM 12555694, which is discontinued, you can still purchase

GM Genuine Parts 93441238

^^^This is for the 4.3, the tube itself is too short, but both rubber ends are the exact same as ours and can be swapped onto our PCV tube.
Also, Standard Motor Parts(GV17)does sell replacement grommets. They are ok. I was curious, as all of your parts look brand new.

Regarding the PCV tube, I reused the original straight fitting and installed a new GM elbow (10124635) at the valve cover.

I almost bought that too, but for $9.00 you get the GM elbow and the straight piece.

That leads to today. I'm currently preparing to install a factory replacement GM crate engine (I didn't want to mess with cleaning and rebuilding the original engine, even though it ran just fine). If anyone has any questions about the 6" BDS lift kit, Kryptonite steering linkage, or anything else, please don't hesitate to ask.
Did you purchase a NEW GM Powertrain Replacement L31 Engine/Long Block ?
If so, which GM part number ? Mind sharing price ?
What is disposition of truck's original engine/long block ?

I think I saw a Canadian (maple leaf) label on one of your valve covers; I understand that, since sometime 2020, all New L31 being assembled at Springfield MO USA by long-time GM partner SRC.

Yes. The part number is 19432780. I purchased it from Jegs for $4,845.54 shipped to my door. When I ordered it, it was purportedly on backorder. However, it was delivered to my house three days later.

That is correct. Per one of the labels on the box, it was machined and assembled in Springfield, MO, using globally sourced parts.

Regarding the maple leaf, I suspect you're referring to the oil dipstick tube, which I ordered separately. A good number of parts are still manufactured in Canada. Nonetheless, it is also true that many parts are now made outside Canada and the United States (e.g., water pump [Mexico], air conditioning compressor [China], etc.).

Finally, regarding the original engine, it has been sitting outside in the elements, getting rained and snowed on. I'll probably submerge it in the earth and plant flowers in the cylinders and/or intake valley this spring.
