So guys. I went to the junkyard today looking for random parts. I needed a back passenger door lock actuator. Once there i realized I didnt have a way to test that it actually worked.
So what do you pro pickets bring with you to test electronic parts?

Assuming you brought a cordless drill, use the battery and a hunk of wire or two to test for operation. 12, 14, 18v momentarily won't hurt an actuator or a window motor.

A little 9 volt will work to but as mentioned above if you take a drill and or battery powered tool just use a little wire and can use that

Those crazy portable jump boxes - not the huge ones with the handle, but the smaller brick shaped ones that come in a carrying case with a bunch of different adapters - would come in REAL handy for something like this. They pack a lot of power, and have the added bonus of being a jump box. :)
